Cathy had not yet done the Tranquility hike yet, so again I decided that would be a good

one for the two of us to do. My grandmother dropped us off at the Tranquility Post office

as I recall, and we headed south on the old L&HR right of way. The right of way, luckily,

was clearer than it had been in the past and we were able to pass through with little

problems.

When we reached the abandoned Allamuchy Freight Station, it was falling into a bad state

of decay. We went inside and looked around, and it appeared famers had been using it to

store hay at some point.

As we headed south, the right of way through Alphano’s Sod farm was also clearer than

ever. I could only hope that future visits would be just as clear.

Cathy would complain about the weeds when we came to them, but fortunitely it was

never terrible. I was surprised by the fact that she handled the ballast rock along the route

as well as she did, as it even bothers me!
