The original journal to this one was lost to the fire as well. If I find it I'll put it up.

We started this one around Warbasse on the Paulins Kill Valley Trail and headed the short distance east to the Sussex Branch Trail and headed south. It's one of my favorite sections as we walked down through the Newton Meadows, where the freezing cold spring headwaters of the Paulins Kill River are. Once we got into Newton we took a long side trip into the middle of Newton. We explored the Newton Green, and read all of the historical markers. Cathy stopped at a little place to get some chai tea and then we walkd along streets.
We found a nice little deli/eatery that had fantastic cheeseburgers and such right in town as well.
When we were ready we returned to the trail and headed south through Andover. We wandered through and I climbed on top of the old switch box, which I do most times I walk through. It's my fault the bottom board was broken from a time I climbed it in 2002 or something.
We headed south into Kittatinny Valley State Park, and then south through Allamuchy Mountain State Park to our end point on the corner of Waterloo Road and Continental Lane (formerly the railroad bed). This was another particularly good day for Cathy and I, the good times I try to hold onto.
