I can't remember where we started exactly, but somewhere near Warbasse. We walked toward Blairstown, probably to Marksboro.
I had been trying to get Cathy out on hikes, and she did'nt want to do anything that involved any elevation so I tried to get her out on some of my favorite rail trails away from the group a bit.
For this one we pretty much followed the Paulins Kill Valley Trail. I can't remember any of our side trips or anything at this moment. I know we climbed around in the old concrete structure near Swartzwood, and someone had layed a section of track to show what it once looked like at that point which was surprising. The graffiti on the structure was interesting with the single eye painted in the doorway. I think it was also on this hike that a big black bear was walking on the trail just ahead of us. It went off into the woods to the south.
If I ever find something with the original journal entry I'll post it on here.
