Lost the original journal to this one as well. Anyone have a copy?

I don't usually do the same or even almost similar hikes back to back, but for this one I brought Cathy exactly where we were previously and did a bit of new stuff.

We started in Pittstown and just like on the previous one followed the old LV railroad grade to Landsdowne. Maybe I wanted to do it so I could eat more berries. I seem to remember there was'nt nearly as many even after this short period of time.

This time, instead of following the South Branch down stream, we crossed the tracks and got directly on the Landsdown Trail, formerly the Clinton Branch of the Lehigh Valley Railroad. This took us north into the town of Clinton. I remember walking around Clinton for a bit, and we got some pizza at an overpriced place. We walked the streets a bit and checked out the Old Red Mill, then we followed Leigh Street south. From here, we turned right into a municipal park, probably part of Hunts Mill Park. We went straight out toward the river, and then I think had to come back. A network of small unofficial trails were around the area, probably part of the developement nearby. We ended up walking through a wooded section, then out to an area with some ball fields. We skirted those and stayed somewhat close to the river, but usually out of sight of it. We ended up following another trail system, seemingly mowed, into the woods and it eventually took us out on Hamden Road somewhere. I figured it must have been a water or utility line of some sort. At the very end of what seemed like a public trail we had to cross a back yard.

We turned right on a section of Hamden Road toward Melicks Bridge section of the South Branch Reservation, crossed the bridge, and then took the trail which went into the woods to the left immediately. This trail, a short one, came back out on the same road a little further down. We then turned right on Lower Landsdown Road and returned to the end of the Landsdown Trail, then headed back across to the Capoolong Creek Trail, right back to where we started in Pittstown.
