For this one I had to be picked up at my house because I was having car trouble. I think Rich Pace came and got me, as he was co leading for me on this one to offer people an early out option. I think he left his car at the Jenny Jump visitors center or something. I really don't remember for sure. Also joining this time were Susyn Mihalasky, Mary White, and two guys named Joe and Rex but I don't know their last names.

We started at the parking lot at Ghost Lake, and walked the northeast shore to visit the Fairy Hole, a cave known to have been used by native americans. We continued off trail to the Ghost Lake Trail and headed up to see the old cabin, but sadly we found that it had been destroyed. I walked right by the site of it and soon realized we should have gotten to it. There was a lot of snow on the ground, making walking difficult, and seeing the footprint of the old cabin was impossible.
We continued on Ghost Lake Trail to Summit Trail and continued to the view points over the Alphano area. I remember one of the guys, I think it was Joe asking "How far have we gone now, ten miles?". I was blown away that he thought we'd gone that long. "Try two" I told him. It's really amazing how people don't have a concept of mileage and their abilities sometimes. It was very difficult in the snow, but still I was surprised.
We continued on the trail to the main park office where we split the group. Susyn, and I think it was Rex and I continued on along Farview Road to Hope-Great Meadows Road and walked it down into Hope, passing a nice view point along the way. We then explored the old cemetary in Hope and wandered through town to the east to the back roads that led through the little village of Shiloh before heading back up to Jenny Jump State Park. It was the same route I'd followed with Tea Biscuit my previous time here I think it was.
Once we returned to the park, we took the Orchard Trail northeast to the access road that goes to the camp sites. We walked that to the terminus of the Ghost Lake Trail and used that to take us back to the cars, though this time we did'nt bushwhack in favor of using the causeway over the lake. I think Susyn and Rex took me home.
