Here's what I remember....

I was surprised that only two showed up, and neither were newcomers on this hike since it was a beautiful day. The problem was it was terribly humid and people did'nt remember how we, with my group, spend so much time swimming.

Descending on Garvey Springs Trail

Rock test cores along Rockcores Trail

As I'd done on this hike before, we started at Dunnfield and walked around on Karamac Trail to Farview (aka Beaulahlands) Trail, then turned left on the AT to Douglas Trail. I think as before we took this to Northwest/Rockcores Trail to Sunfish Drainage Trail then up to the AT again at Sunfish Pond. We stopped to swimg for a long time here. Jeff and I both swam across the lake and back which I thought was actually kind of tough on this occasion. After a good swim we continued on the AT to Garvey Springs Trail and descended. We followed this down hill to Rockcores Trail again and turned right descending further past the rock test cores left over from the Tocks Island dam tests.

We continued from here briefly on the road to the left to the Worthington camp grounds out to the Delaware River where we took another nice swim. Jeff swam all the way out to the next island and back.

We continued walking from here along pathways along the river, mostly access roads for a while through the camp ground with lots of loud blaring latin music. We continued from there on unfofficial unmarked trails alongside the river which led back to the site of Karamac Inn by Karamac Trail. We continued back up to the parking area where we were before and then continued on River Road back toward the gap. We turned off of it on Bluff Road, the abandoned unmarked woods road over the knoll to Dunnfield Hollow.

Once we were back in the hollow we went down to the creek for a dip. There was a kid there that had a giant frog. It looked like he was going to hurt it, which I did'nt want. When he asked me if I wanted to hold it I did'nt hold it very tight and he got away, which is pretty much what I wanted anyway.

We continued along Dunnfield Creek back to our cars.
